JDog
Mightymariner got out his file yesterday containing a portfolio of places he can shoot. He called me to ask if I would like to join him at ****** and as I had been a good boy and had just given a new barge board for the front of the house a second coat of paint I felt as though I deserved an afternoon out. When I got there it was indeed very maritime as we were only a few hundred metres from the sea with seagulls, shellducks, sandpipers, swallows, swifts and ***** all over the place. An Egret was a welcome sight even though it ruined the alliteration. There were also a lot of pigeons but they did not return in any numbers to where we were set up but I could see a cloud of 200 or so going down confidently into a field freshly drilled with i know not what. We managed a handful between us. When I drove away I saw lots more on peas, possibly the most pigeons I have seen for six months or so. Another trip out there is quite likely. Next time I will take my bathers.
oowee
Any trip to the seaside cannot be undertaken without bathers. At the very least you can make excuses as to why you cant take that icy plunge.

marsh man
I have got some land I go on where I can watch the ships sailing while I am waiting for some action and it amazes me where the pigeons come from the east direction when there are only a few roads between the crop field and the North sea. You and M M could have a nautical theme between you two , as one being a Mariner and the other one a CDog.
Mightymariner
I like to show JDog different parts of the county, and I know how those from the midlands yearn for the ocean.....so what better than a trip to the Lincolnshire coast. Agree with you Marshman, amazing that you can watch pigeons flying off over the dunes.....to where I know not.

I couldn't agree with you more M M , maybe not everyone cup of tea but I love it round that way and that is the only county I would think of moving into , not that I am likely to move as I am more than contented where I am , although listening to the different languages around here I sometimes wonder where in the world I am .
