Fredwalton
I have just brought an escort semi auto will be trying it out on the pigeons tomorrow. It's a 3inch chamber but I recently brought a slab of cartridges that are 2 1/2 inch will these be ok to use? ( if I'm honest not really sure what the chamber part means) Thanks
billytheghillie
yes they will be fine, but some hatsans like 70mm carts and wont recycle the 65mm ones.
Harry136
When i had my Hatsan Escort, it would only cycle 70mm cartridges, didnt matter on the shot size or amount of powder, it would only cycle 70mm cartridges and it was one of the newer models! steve_b_wales
As mentioned above, 70mm (2 3/4") work the best.
Fredwalton
These are 67mm so hopefully they will be ok. If not I'm taking the o/u just in case. Edited July 31, 2016 by Fredwalton

db135
I've just sold my old hatsan it was one of the first generation models was a reliable gun in the 5 years i had it had only a couple jams nothing major. No problem with 67mm and 70mm shells never tried the 65mm only reason I sold it was the Mrs bought me a sx3 for my 40th birthday
Danger-Mouse
The only feed problems I`ve had with mine were when using 65mm 21gm cartridges. Even then it was an intermittent problem.
eastdevon
I once had the semi auto version which was only happy on 67mm or 70mm never ever had any other issues, now have the pump action version which will feed ANY cartridge I put through it!! BerettaSV10
My escort would cycle 67 mm cartridges and above, but 65 mm ones would never cycle on some occasions would spin and then jam in the action as they fed from the mag to the chamber. chris1961
Escort is a marmite gun you either like them or hate them a couple at my shooting ground swear by them can be a bit cartridge choosey but on the whole they are a decent gun for the money and for pest control they are good
