Driven pheasant day in somerset area

Im after a days pheasant shooting this season close to somerset

 

Im fully insured and not after big bags just want to experience a driven day for the experience

 

Any info or offers will be gratefully received

Have a look at guns on pegs, they might have something local. Mind you I never have any luck on there.

A Farmers Shoot over undulating land where high birds are fast and plentiful,a wonderful days shooting with good camaraderie come and join us, you will be entertained and well looked after. Starts with a light breakfast , the drives, meal at the end

 

As above, from Guns On Pegs. There's also a 30 bird day for 6 guns at £200 which seems expensive

Thats £40 a bird, tiss a tad expensive for a small shoot.

£40/bird would seam expensive, but the shoot probably have the same expenses running a small day as they will have running a large day.

Based on this I would expect to pay more per bird on a smaller day than a larger day.

 

Op. Make sure you are aware of all the costs before you book a shoot, ask if there is overage and what the cost is if there is and get it in writing or email.

Ask your shooting pals if they would like to join you, it's always good to have someone to accompany you for moral support and banter when you miss ;)

Yes, you are right about the cost for a small day but it is only 30 birds so less beaters, less food and beer for them would cut the cost. My main worry about having a 30 bird day with guns I don't know is to make sure everyone picks the birds they shoot and does not shoot the lot in one or two drives. I think we all know someone who would shoot their lot and carry on regardless.

I once went beating on a 50 bird day, after the first two drives one gun had shot over half the bag.
