Bantam boy
Hi, I am looking to get a London oil finish on the stock of my Beretta,I have had two quotes so far one at £140, and one at £450, just a bit confused as to the huge difference in price. Can anyone recommend a gunsmith or individual, capable of doing the above,I am quite happy to travel from Bedfordshire, Thanks Andy
welshwarrior
I do this for £150 to a private customer one of the gun shop I do the same finish for charges £350 for my finish. Beware of gun shop mark ups as opposed to the price the guy doing it charges lots of places farm this work out to people like myself. AlistairB
Try Peter Goddfrey, he recently made a removable wooden stock extension for me, his woodwork is very good. Worth a call if nothing else. AB Peter Godfrey58 London RoadRoystonHerts01763 247752

Glenlivet
Jason at JWS did mine, which is the DT10 on his fb page. Highly delighted with it and reasonable at £140. https://m.facebook.com/JWS-Stock-Refinishing-Tel-07506256687-Wolverhampton-1622903381261708/

Jay_Russell
I really wanted to send my b425 off to jason but the only thing that put me off was having to 'remove the wood from the metal' so I could send it off. Scarry thought!

figgy
the JW stock video's ive seen look a lot more like a true oil finish rather than hand rubbed linseed oil shellac and waxed based finishes of the traditional Best London finish. Much more along the same lines as Straightshooter1 used to do on here.
