naddan28
Went into the local RFD today after a shift at work and after having a mooch looking for some Stealth Camo neeting couldn't find any. Asked the bloke behind the counter who looked at me as if I was off another planet and after a protracted convo with me explaining its NOT the Deben one and made of a 2 ply material I left, on my way out of the door, some moronic ape of a shooter who was looking at the rifles and seemed annoyed at my presence as his convo had to stop, piped up with "because they all look different." with a big grin on his face. I was going to reply "yes they do hence the different patterns, moorland and woodland." However, decided to leave it and walk out. Now personally, I feel this sort of bloke is the type of shooter we don't need. Rude, clearly as thick as mud and certainly not going to encourage anyone into the sport. In fact I imagine he is the type with no land or leaves carts everywhere and can kill a deer at 500 yds with a fac .177 air rifle. So does your gunshop have this resident idiot too? Also, does your gunshop stock the stealth netting or even know what it is, as I felt like I was trying to explain quantum physics or asking for a Tardis! Just curious as I own an air rifle so only just started to visit the "gunshop". Dan

naddan28
I think you worry too much. lol not worried, just found it amusing and think these sort of shooters are the ones that damage the sport thats all. I have only just started and plan to continue for many years but with the way things are you never know and last thing you need are idiots like this feeding the antis. pin
I think you need to chill a bit, far too worked up for one so young. It takes years to justify being angry at everything
JohnGalway
So does your gunshop have this resident idiot too? A doozie of a one I've kept a cutting of an interview with Bill Nighy (actor), in it he says how it's much more fun to play a nasty character in the film as there's much more range in facial expressions. He'd be in heaven if he got to play in a film about the spot I mean (not nasty but no shortage of expressions...) Oh talk about a laugh. Or cry. I prefer to laugh

naddan28
there was abit of micky taking but it was all in fun. lol i guessed as much, but should I become a moccasion and cufflink wearing individual I want it to be known I can shoot an air rifle, already. Or will I loose that ability when I wear the cufflinks/mocassions??
