andy j
Cant get on with my benelli auto, so after a sxs for fowling with and would prefer an English stock. There are some 3 inch about but don't seem to be magnum or steel rated. I am going to cut off the chokes any way so I was thinking these would be fine. Does anyone think any different or what do they recommend.

kennett
Why would you want to cut the chokes off?
andy j
1/4 choke is plenty for where I shoot. open is also fine

wymberley
Why would you want to ruin a serviceable gun? Why not have them opened out to 1/4 if that, as you say, suits your needs.
figgy
Just cut it to suit your needs but keep the barrel length over 24" to keep within the law. I have to agree with others that for a fowling gun having the chokes opened out would be better as the longer gun aids your swing. Have a look at the Yildiz Elegant A3T Wildfowl sxs comes steel proofed with multi chokes.
Footu
Take a look at the yilditz 'wildfowler'. id get one if they made them for the correct cast but they only have them for righties.
