What's wrong in the world

Has anyone actually considered that punishment is only effective it is enforced and a likely result of a criminal action? Doesn't matter whether you bring in the death penalty for litter dropping if the criminal justice system is so weak that offenders aren't likely to get caught let alone found guilty.

The biggest reason for the deterioration in society is that people are now far less likely to get caught for antisocial behaviour and minor crimes. Not being afraid of the law leads to offenders becoming brazen and to escalate their behaviour.

Is there a deterioration in society?

Chain gangs under armed guards, doing all public works plus full tariff sentencing. If you work hard your tariff may be reduced. If you don't you do the full stretch!?!?

Nope! If they work hard and keep their nose clean they come out on the date their original sentence expires and not a second before. If they cause trouble they stay inside longer. They do the crime, they do the time.

There are no shortcuts in life, prison shouldn't be an exception to that.

Think on the early years then,The Cane, never killed anyone. So start is school..

Getting farther down the line, The Cat,,That must have hurt..

They say hanging doesn't solve anything,,SMOKING GUN Does..

Most of the people in prison are innocent,Did you know that..

Let them live with the Do Gooders,,Attitudes would change very quickly..

So very true.

Regards antisocial behaviour, yes there has been. I also know from 25 years in the police that crime has increased massively, but the official figures don't reflect this.

Probably because the true facts would not allow the continued reduction in the numbers of police officers without comment?

Sadly I can't see a solution to this out of control situation as:

a percentage of the population don't give a fig as long as the benefit, fags and booze keeps arriving not forgetting the highs, legal or not?

some others are or feel insulated from reality for some unfathomable reason?

a small minority would like it sorted out but can't make it happen for numerous reasons all beyond their control?

Probably less Police officers means less criminals caught! If you increase police officers they tend to catch more criminals therefore crime stats "go up".

I honestly think the super rich tax the middle and some working class to pay benefits to working/non-working people and families. The benefits etc keep the have nots ticking over and in some sort of control. If they had absolutely nothing then riots, theft etc would be so much more common.
