Lloyd90
Any predictions lads ? Not long now. Already leaked many billions to be funnelled into building homes and also the banning of estate agents charging fees to tenants for rentals I believe. When we were looking to rent some of the fees were ridiculous (upto £600). Just depends if the landlords decide to put up the rents as a result or write it off against their tax. Lloyd90
Yeah- I predict it won't matter what ANY pw member thinks or posts 😂 😂😂 lol! Very true Matt. I've been at work all day only had a glance not a thorough look. Reduction in corporation tax one good thing for companies to grow I suppose. Raise of the minimum wage to £7.50 and upping the personal allowance I believe I saw!
Me matt
Truth is Lloyd- what they give with one hand today is rapidly grabbed back by the other hand a few weeks down the line 😕 It's what keeps the working classes working. Ain't that the truth! Thing is the national debt is so massive of they let it keep growing how long before we go bankrupt / can't even afford to pay it back ? I agree we need to get out of the deficit ASAP! The amount of people in the country who assume the role of the state is to provide for them and look after them is immense, but where do they think the money comes from ? Truth is we are borrowing more today to fund our life style. We will all be paying back for a long time to come. Shame when the government was just starting to get to grips with the debt. Good to see that some of the brexiteers reaping what they have sown.

If your household income is £1000 PCM you can't keep on spending £1200 and not even be paying off the debt! I don't think many people even understand the deficit and the national debt if I'm honest! Lloyd90
I think you are right. Even in the good times we seem unable to live within our means. Everyone wants a bigger house, a newer car and two foreign holidays a year! All paid for on credit! Everyone also expects the government to look after them when retired even if they spent all their money on whatever. Should see the outrage some people express when they're expected to contribute towards their massive care costs (and the contribution comes out of the money the government is paying them already). It's not surprise American right wingers are so afraid of our NHS and benefits system! It's amazing for some things but open to abuse on many levels IMO. norfolk dumpling
Very disappointing. I know he has very little room for manoeuvre until Brexit starts to play out but though he would do a little more for the JAM sector as his PM promised. Davyo
The National debt is like a running tap, except the bath ain't draining quick enough. To be honest I've never taken any notice of the Budget & never felt any impact of one.One thing i like to see though is more tougher personal lending.Seems more kids/young folk today feel its more important to pay £40 per month for the latest iPhone/or silly Sky package, rather that bang it into savings or a pension. They assume that the NIB (STATE PENSION) will still be around when they retire at 90yrs old lol. AVB
Unfortunately cheap lending is the 'opium for the masses'. Without it you will get more agro on the streets. It's a price the government are prepared to pay.

You don't say 😂😂😂😂 My point was- although I'm sure you got it - freezing duty was a pointless statement as the Arabs are slowing production to boost prices, hitting the wallet much more than any increase in fuel duty ever could.
