four-wheel-drive
I think if I was in the market for a pickup I always liked the look of the Nissan trucks but with all of the rust problems that they had I would be looking at the ranger for shore great looking trucks and with it being a ford you should not have to many problems getting it fixed if it did go wrong. kyska
We recently bought one, I'm very impressed, very capable. Try and get a 6 speed if you're going to be any long journeys. Re the Nissan, my shooting bud just got a whopping payout from Nissan for his navara that had a rotten chassis, he's just bought a ranger too and loves it. fishingtex
I have a 3.0Ltr Wildtrak 11 plate. I can't fault it, never missed a beat since i got it new. MPG is 30 running about and about 34 on a long steady run. Looking at the New one in the not too distant future. Would definitely recommend one. I just bought the new Toyota Hilux from the local dealer, saved 5.5k buying it through BASC, definitely worth the membership fees. they have discounts from most dealers now. Grunta
I have a Ranger 3.2. I like it - very capable and excellent towing vehicle but its an everyday car for me. Is quite long and feels bigger than it is but in reality still gets into carparks as the width is fairly standard. Engine is nice on the motorways, noisy though when on the gas. I have an issue with the gearbox jumping into 6th gear which needs to be looked at on the next service. Shocks could do with an upgrade to remove some of the bounce. Still runs leaf springs on the rear. Certainly not disappointed with the vehicle and seeing more and more around. Best selling vehicle in Aus/NZ due to practicality. I have the Wildtrak but today would probably opt for the Limited with simpler styling and similar spec.

According to the below article the Toyota Hilux is the best selling pick up in Australia with the Ford Ranger coming in 4th, not sure about NZ http://www.drive.com.au/motor-news/toyota-hilux-is-australias-bestselling-vehcile-20170104-gtm6jz.html
