seeker
Back many years ago my Doctor reloaded 8 bore black powder brass on his surgery desk ... Apothecary scales, a block of mahogany with a small - just larger than a primer- hole, a nail and a small round handled mallet. Stood case on the block and taped out the old primer then put the new primer on the block, placed the case over it and pushed down on the case with the handle of the mallet. After a weekends rugby the style of a visit to the Doc was marked by the number of cases on his desk. Times change. PS It was aTolley and stood in the corner of the room .... Smokersmith
I load a few brass cases for a buddy every year .. De-prime with a suitable size punch, then I press in the new primers using a vice.
fandango
You can buy a capper de capper for 8 g from clay and game which will work on on brass cases,,,,, other than that as seeker has said punch them out with something that's approx 6mm dia and knocked em in with a wooden or plastic mallet,, when knocking them in ensure you have a dowel roughly the same or smaller dia as the internal of the case and slightly longer so you dont damage the rim (open end) of the case

Pretty much the same as when father used to reload. Back in the late 20s > early 30s the railway driver on the local branch line used to shoot hares out in the fields along the route and would stop the train and go out into the field to pick up the beast and pick mushrooms as well. Can you imagine the uproar now. then it was quite comonplace.
fandango
Is there anyone who makes 8 or 10 bore brass cases today? Alan Myers would do you some loaded, though they will be expensive or he could make the brass though I believe he may only be doing carts. Graham Deakin makes brass ones,, Don't know where your based but if your getting brass cases made you would need to get the barrel to whom ever is making them as the cases are ade for the gun n. Now you need a 4 bore Love them come up next season mark and try one ...
