Winston72
Why is it one fitter quotes on a product with a 6 year warranty but then another quotes for the exact same product but an 8 year warranty? Its the same product depends if they have attended the manufacturers training course
Lord Geordie
Had a Worcester Bosch fitted nine year back now! Other than me blowing a fuse by fitting a rheostat "wrong wiring diagram" never had an issue. It's very efficient and quiet. Radiators are red hot in under five mins of switching it on. It's at the end if it's projective life, but as long as I can get parts! I will keep it. My dad has the ISAR and had to call them out on multiple occasions for many issues. The most recent being it's THIRD diverted valve! They have only had it about 4 years
scolopax
Buy British, we still have several boiler manufactures in this country, one of the few things we as a nation still make. I used to work at Ideal boilers, 25 years ago.

ferguson_tom
Our ideal logic was a pile of junk, both my uncle who is a heating engineer and the local boiler repair guy both said they were terrible and refuse point blank to fit them. They are fitted to thousands of new homes for one reason...dirt cheap.

four-wheel-drive
Worcester died within 5 years and had loads of bother in between moved over to ferroli no trouble in 15 yrs I think that you will find that things have moved in over the last 20 years most of the heating people that I have spoken to say that the Bosh Worcester is the best one. Worcester Bosch were still the best 20 years ago, i have a 23 year old Worcester I've spent 50 quid in bits on it, and whats more it doesn't know what a service is and never will, a lot is down to been fitted properly but a lot is down to a guy in the factory assembling it, "Friday boilers" is a real thing
Del T
Worcester all the way. Stretch to the 29cdi. As for a ferroli over a WB lol!! Ideal are OK, I've fitted a few but not that impressed with them. Try and get them to honour the warranty if there's a problem!! Ask the installer what he has in his own house, we don't want to be servicing and repairing our own boilers at home! All the friends and family have WB boilers.
