mudpatten
Hi Terry, Please can you tell me how long you`ve been a member of BASC for. It say`s "over six years" on your manifesto. That could be 60 years or 6 years and six minutes. Could you clarify please? Many thanks.

mudpatten
Hi Terry, Thanks you for your answer. I understand that you`ve been involved in shooting and country life for some 40 years. Could you tell us please why it took you some 34 years of involvement with the sport before you finally decided to join BASC and how do you justify such a long length of time spent avoiding joining BASC? Many thanks.
bakerboy
Work was my hobby, and in that I spent all of my time. I was always insured as a shooter as I have always taken the sport seriously. On retirement I looked in to making use of myself and of the skills I believed I had, BASC offered what I wanted and gave me a new career path. I am not a label/badge hunter or collector, I like working with people; developing people; and being useful. If I am fortunate and honoured enough to be elected to BASC Council, I would hope it is for what I can bring to BASC Council by way of experience and expertise, not by my length of membership. My entire working life, (that is once I knew what I was doing) I have actively developed those that I worked with and later in life those that worked for me, I am very proud of what I have achieved both personally and what the people I have worked with have achieved. I would best describe myself as a people person and a developer of people. If I have a fault and I am sure I have many, is that I get involved, some would say too involved. I hope that answers your question, but I am happy to explain more if I can, and trust me I am honest and open. I will not get into "promises" of what I will do if I am fortunate enough to be elected. The only promise I will make is that I will give 100% of my abilities to assist BASC on it's journey forward, for the future of our Pastime.
