daveboy
If you think you are ever going to get water anywhere near the top of that snorkel let me know and I will start building an Ark
four-wheel-drive
Just where are you planning on going that thing is good to go through 2ft of water as standard or are you thinking about going on river trips in it,
johnnytheboy
lol I think everyone knows snorkels are just for show, go in deeper than the diff and gearbox breathers and it's curtains! Which is why I might fit an arb breather system but that's a long way from now!

You still have not said where you are planning on going that would need you to go through water deeper than 2ft apart from going on a pay and play day England will not test it much. I'm in Scotland, the back road to work gets more than 2ft in winter lol
four-wheel-drive
I'm in Scotland, the back road to work gets more than 2ft in winter lol I thought that you got it to go on holiday not commute to work as a lifted landrover would do that for not to much money. I was not knocking you if you think that the snorkel will be of real use that is fine but it bugs me when you see people put them on to there 4x4 that will probably never go through much more than a puddle in the road. A snorkels not much use on a 4x4 either unless you've fitted Diff breather extension kit.
four-wheel-drive
Unless you have a 4x4 just for fun driving off road with rubber mats etc I do not think that I would want to risk water coming in and soaking all of the carpets etc in my truck. Then you have the problem of standing water verses flowing water it does not need to be very deep to push the car/truck/van off of the road in to much deeper water I have seen several items on the TV news where people driving through flooded streams not that deep but they was washed away and the people drowned. johnnytheboy
I have done a wee bit since last time, bodywork all straightened out, arches and under mouldings sprayed with texture for stonechip protection, I've left the wing liners off as I am about to start the mechanical for the mot, once completed I'll dinitrol the full under floor area including under the plastic arches and where the mudglaps will be to stop chaffing through the paint
