kennett
Just watched this video http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-39450236 I'm not a military sniper by any stretch of the imagination, but there sniping skills seem lacking. Surely resting the barrel on a window sill or using your mates shoulder as a sandbag will do nothing for accuracy? Hamster
I agree but everything you see and read on the conflicts in the ME are highly censored and doctored for a certain narrative. For example when the guy said the Isis fighters come from abroad he forgot to mention they're mostly from Western allied Saudi . These scum bags could have been incinerated well before they got the chance to get inside buildings, some say they may never have been what they are without help for equipment in the first place. The minor technicalities about resting barrels on windows is the least of our problems.
welshwarrior
Shooting of shoulders has been done before with PHs etc. Or even like this

The picture shows the stock resting on his mates shoulder which is no difference to resting it on a bag. I've shot many a fox the same way. Danger-Mouse
I can't see any problems with what they're doing. Has to be more accurate than not resting the rifle on anything. Ok so using a bipod would probably be better but I'm guessing either they don't have any or they don't want to carry the extra weight. Zapp
The barrel on the wall wouldn't do much good for accuracy, but without knowing the circumstances we can't be sure it wasn't the best/safest option available.
bear-uk
The guy being the Rifle rest might get a return shot up his rusty bullet hole
subsonicnat
Try that position with a 3.5 Rocket Launcher.. Perhaps he did not have a bag of sand??.
Wasabi
Judging by the number of empty cases on the floor I'd say they were putting down a weight of fire rather than pin point shooting
