shropshire-jon
Hi My shooting is now starting to get a bit thin on the ground, with the beans and the barley through and the spring drillings finished on the farms where i have permission. In the next week or two i have a farm that is going to start drilling maize. My question is, is fresh sown maize any good for pigeon shooting? JDog
Personally I have never done any good on maize drillings.
Cranfield
In my experience its not much good for pigeons, but worth watching for rooks/crows, I have had some good bags of them on maize drillings.

philpotttt
I love Freshly drilled maize for the crow shooting even when the crop is up to around 4 - 6'', I have found crows will still walk between the crop rows, only just finished shooting them early this week before the rain/wind arrived. Not so many birds but a couple of hours of sport each time I go there. Phil
