Ricko
Engine flush additive prior to oil change? Worth doing or not? Your thoughts are welcome. Cheers
TIGHTCHOKE
Yes, whether you do lots of miles or lots of short trips, put the additive in and let it pull as much of the carp out as possible. When I get down to the garage (******* down)I will check what I use and add the details.
ditchman
when we used to do engine flushes ...it was half deisel and half engine oil...run it for 5 mins and drop it...................
db135
Am not a fan realy unless you have a engine that's had realy neglected oil changes you can never get it all out when you've dropped sump plug and it can only go and possibly degrade your new oil? Red-dot
A half cupfull of liquid clothes washing detergent a few miles before draining does the job.

Cannon
Only if you are doubtful about an engines service history. Engine flushing additives can cause leaks by removing sludge build up from around crank seals etc.
Vince Green
That's if you are nieve enough to believe they actually do it.......
