Its like loading your own shells and dropping a nice bird but it come adictive i know i have just started tying my own flies all i seem to do is keep buying bits and pieces ever time i go to tie a pattern i need somethink else abit of this abit of that its worse than reloading.

Yep, tie your own. It just happens I have a lifetimes collection of furs and feathers etc., inc., two vices and other equipment for sale as I can no longer fish my beloved rivers.

Would set someone up for many years.

I echo the view that there is nothing that beats catching a fish on a fly which you have tied yourself......................... mind you will probably find they come close to expensive if not more than shop bought.

Commercial ???? Then I have to suggest Fulling Mill Flies, quality.

Tie your own defiantly I can't use anybody else's flies other than my own now (and I am not an expert by a long shot!). ...you probably have access to a fair few materials already if you shoot.

Squirrel tails, rabbit fur, pheasant tails, etc,
