decoyboys
Hi Guys, I'm fairly new to pigeon shooting, and must admit, geting totally hooked! I've got yhe basis, shell decoys, net seat etc,. I've been watching on facebook, and it seems flappers are making a big impact on a days decoying.so my question is, should I gt one, if so which one, or would you reccomend a whirler or something else? Thanks in advance for any help. D.

Ultrastu
Well i shot the same field thats getting a lot of pigeon interest on friday and sunday Friday i used 6 shells and a magnet = 30 birds shot Sunday i used 6 shells and 2 flappers =40 birds Though my mate was with me on friday so that accounts for the lower amount shot on that day . I think flappers are the way to go .they are cheaper and lighter .and can be used in a wider variety of situations and require a smaller battery . I have 2 a1 decoy flappers .pretty good so far
wymberley
Keep it simple and you'll then realise that there's no reason to make it complicated.
motty
I have had more success with magnets/rotaries than flappers.
Fredwalton
I hate my flapper spend more time putting the wings back on the stupid thing than I do actually shooting. I used a rotary the other day and it worked a treat but other times it doesn't work.
deny essex
I hate my flapper spend more time putting the wings back on the stupid thing than I do actually shooting. I used a rotary the other day and it worked a treat but other times it doesn't work. Put a kink and a dull point on the ends that go through the wings.
