viking
bought a rather nice miroku 3800 grade 1 with grade 4 wood today, had a naff butt pad on so that had to come off, wanted to take it shooting but i had no time to set the comb raiser up to suit me before i went so in the cabinet it went, this is how i bought the gun, its the bottom one, top one is my 7000 . first things first, off with that nasty butt pad Edited July 15, 2017 by viking
viking
then i started thinking that the wood from the 3800 would look particularly fetching on my 7000, no way would it all fit though i thought, so tried the 3800 forend on the 7000 and it fit interesting i thought, so into the garage for a few screw drivers and Allen keys, took them both to bits and tried the 3800 stock on the 7000 and it fit ok, so then the 7000 stock went on the 3800, but the forend from the 7000 wouldnt go on the 3800 for some reason, it went on ok but the release catch wouldnt sit flush, no where near, so i swapped the forend iron over and hay presto everything fit ok on both guns, put the 7000 butt pad on the newly stocked 3800 and adjusted the comb raiser, all good, then put it back on the 3800 and that to fit me perfect, so all i need now is a new butt pad to go on the 7000's new stock and i now have a sexy gun, and a spare/or for sale miroku 3800 grade 1 with still nice recently refurbished wood. every ones a winner

Gordon R
Lee - bit of a result there. The stock does look to have been shortened very slightly. Adjustable butt plate with added trap pad - back to normal dimensions.
viking
Lee - bit of a result there. The stock does look to have been shortened very slightly. Adjustable butt plate with added trap pad - back to normal dimensions. iv measures the LOP with no pad on it, and it was 13 1/4, my usual fit is 14 1/2 and them butt pads from avalon guns are 30mm so im thinking that might do the trick

viking
just had a brain wave and looked on teague website, it says its light imp mod, so its in between 1/2 and 3/4, why is there even such a choke, dont think the day would ever come where i thought 1/2 was to open and 3/4 was to tight and i reached for my 5/8's i have 3 chokes, and thats plenty, 1/4 1/2 and full

evolution380
Hi There Viking, I'll be in the market for a MK38 in the next couple of weeks should you decide to sell it, ideally after a 30 / 32 inch barrels sporter if it fits that description.
