samboy Posted August 28, 2017 Report Share Posted August 28, 2017 Hi all. Every time i mow my lawn it gets besieged by Sparrows and Starlings and i mean besieged,all pecking away like mad. So as already said- I too would have thought they are eating ants. Next time the birds turn up on mass- grab a pair of binoculars and take a close look at what they are feasting on.
