Jason_ox
I know 6 weeks seems like a long time and there’s a lot of shooting to be done but I wouldn’t risk it. Could do more damage that will take even longer to heal up.
Benthejockey
Calcium and vitamin D tablets won’t hurt. My surgeon suggested a month in the sun to aid my healing, I said what a great plan when do I bill it to you or the hospital? That’s when he suggested the vitamins. Son broke his ankle - shattered would be a better description - playing rugby. As mentioned on here earlier in the year, he was 'on duty' playing in Las vegas with a team made up of a couple of UK regiments. Operated on in the USA and then back to the UK. More operations here and then physio for the nerve damage. But now has a bone infection. More operations and all steel work removed. Intravenous antibiotics for a week or more and still on 12 tablets a day. It turns out that he was very lucky to keep his leg. Still on treatment and infection still not totally cured - results from latest blood test due today which includes tests for any damage to liver and kidneys. Fingers crossed! So, one season missed or all future ones? Worth thinking about.

The shame of it. What is the world coming to?

They're going to give it another 4 weeks and if it doesn't sort itself out then they're going to call in a particular specialist. Non too clever by the look of it. Ollieollie
I had a xray on my ankle last month, the ankle doc said when was the last time you broke your ankle??? As far as I'm aware I have never broke it I replied to which he said, you have, at least twice. MRI scan on the 18th to see just how badly its healed

Sounds like a bit of a 50/50 good and bad. But good to hear the bloods came back clear.
