Dekers
?????? Who knows, but that is news to me, I have 2 Russian clients (and a few more female contacts I wish I was closer to) but I don't need any spares for my Baikal! Mr gen
Would it have anything to do with them invading the Ukrain a while back? I am only guessing!

Guest
Yes it’s to do with the Crimea.the U.K. has a embargo with Russia .got a email from the gov department and they say it will stay on for the foreseeable future hope no ones needs any parts Dear The sanctions against Russia were put into place in response to Russian actions in the Crimea and Eastern Ukraine. Unless there is a resolution to these issues I do not see the Government removing these sanctions. I sorry that I cannot be more helpful. Grant Mosedale DIT Import licensing This was the reply I got back
Cranfield
I find it hard to believe there are not a fair number of spare parts available in the UK, I would suggest you call round to your local Gunsmiths/RFD's and ask what they have. Velocette
For about £100 you can buy any decent Baikal to use as a donor for parts,,,failing that ,,look on Ebay where there are often bits on there for sale.
saddler
Easy enough getting most 2nd hand parts from the EU or US, as & when such things are needed... Or nip to the local agricultural merchant & get some parts off an old tractor
bruno22rf
Barrels can be replaced by most Scaffold suppliers whilst Stocks can be hewn from most Telegraph Poles without anyone noticing. As previous, Agricultural Scrapyards can supply the vast majority of precision parts and fixtures and fittings can be found in old sets of Meccano. Only joking as I like the Baikal - if you run into any problems contact Wabbitbosher on this forum - I think his house is made of them.
