Delwint
I don’t doubt that at all mossy, but what I was reporting was the large numbers. The flocks are way bigger than I’ve seen for a long while. Not that they were relentlessly coming in to decoys!!

macca2017
I saw the same pigeons last week so went on a reccy, found several fields with a very large number of birds feeding and watched for a good 1/2 hr streams of birds joining them. Drove round and found out who the tenant farmer was and asked permission to shoot "Yes please" was the answer..... and then there was the proverbial "But" it was part of the shoot and I had to seek permission from the Keeper! He kindly gave me the keepers number which I called. I don't think the Keeper knew about the pigeon, as you will probably guess wouldn't give me permission, stating he would need to ask the shoot captain and said he thought a couple of lads were planning to shoot the fields over the weekend. I did say I can be flexible and shoot midweek, he said he would keep my number and call me if needed, I'm not holding my breath. Anyway, onward and upwards, you can only try! Delwint
You need to ring him again macca because I’ve just driven past and they are still there. The fields are full as are all the trees and power lines
JDog
Macca I'm afraid that is very often how it is. Unless you have run out of steam go back to the farmer. The crops is his after all.
