clumber
Caught this on Channel 5 earlier. Good insight to these fantastic birds. Can be found on the 5 catch up.
JDog
The sad part was the squirrel taking over the Little Owl nest box causing the clutch of eggs which were about to hatch to be abandoned.

Guessing it was a grey? Get out and shoot some, plenty about for everyone.
clumber
Yes, got a little of the grey rage at that point. Just shows how quickly the grey can move in and take over. Interesting to see them come back searching for the eggs.

Interesting to see them come back searching for the eggs. Not hi-jacking, I know the feeling. Once feeding a Robin on a bird table attached to a mature ivy covered tree when a grey shot down, grabbed the robin and shot back up in a split second. John_R
I enjoyed that very much. Glad they did show how aggressive the grey squirrels are.
mickyh
I've tried to find this on catch up but can't? Shame, it sounds really good, maybe it will be repeated.

eddoakley
Bloody owls! Almost caused me to fall out of a high seat on Friday night! Sat scanning a field with the thermal with the rifle across the arms of the seat when "something" caused me to turn around. I'm not sure whether me or the owl were more surprised. Had them land in the same tree before but never that close. Saw the clip of a grey taking over the nest and hope it encourages more people to get out and rid us of a few.
