figgy
Cant have anything that may harm you in anyway. Does not matter that these things are now about as good as washing up liquid,so long as you dont get chemicals allover.

Green hornet
Same here reminds me of when I was a youngster and dad used to clean he’s shotgun. I had he’s shotgun deactivated 15years ago and I can still smell it in the barrels where they made the cut on the tubes. Graham M
It's the same for everything these days. I bought a tin of wood dye from my local hardware store and when I came to use it they had taken out the solvent and made it water based. Absolutely useless. I emailed the company to ask why they had taken a perfectly good product and ruined it, and the reply was that the EU had stopped them from using anything solvent based. So!!!! I couldn't find a wood dye that would penetrate into the wood but was expected to use a product that didn't actually dye the wood buy just put a stain on the surface.............that raised the grain and had to be sanded back down.............removing half the stain. Thank gawd for evilbay. Found someone selling tins of the old solvent based stuff.
