I have been lucky enough to have seen several over the years and it's always a Red letter day when one is sighted . still a rare bird and is locally known as a Boomer , due to his booming sound it makes . If you have got any reed beds near you then there might be a possibility you catching a eye on one , very secretive birds and hard to see if they sitting in a reed bed with there neck outstretched , with there plumage being Brown and White strips it is nigh on perfect camouflage in there environment , although you would recognize one in flight , Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
