Nfinlay22
Hi all, advice please. Gonna buy a o/u sporter, for sporting clays and abit if all rounder. Had quite a few guns over the years and have managed to filter down 3 options for me. F16 blaser, dt10 Beretta or Caesar guerini Magnus.....just curious what your opinions are on these particular models and what in your view is the best.... thanks 👍
Scully
Only you can decide I’m afraid. There are very few bad guns out there in my opinion, and when all’s been said and done ‘best’ is only opinion, and it inevitably comes down to personal choice. This..... it needs to fit and mount sweetly and get the correct rib picture. In that price bracket all 3 are serious guns with great heritage. Nfinlay22
They all feel and shoot well.... Blaser maybe has the edge being better balanced. Just abit concerned about resale value of blaser and guerini. Trusty dt10 always seem to hold value
Sereremo
Here in Italy , I’m talking about olimpic trap that I have been attending for about twenty years, we normally use Beretta and Perazzi. Two different schools of thought because the first one help the owner on very angled clay shots while the second it has normally heavier barrels and it’s harder to move before the shot. Anyway, in my opinion, shotgun has 10% importance, cartridge 20%, stock fitting measure 30% and your mind condition 40%. Guerini is doing a good job with latest shotguns. Trusty dt10 always seem to hold value I often factor resale value into advice given to those who are thinking of buying for example, a cheap non proven shotgun over something with a bit of pedigree, but it’s never been a factor whenever I’ve bought guns. My decision to buy a gun is based upon looks mostly, which is why I have a collection of oddballs; whatever anyone else thinks of them isn’t of interest really.
