TIGHTCHOKE
I'll start looking for spring steel on Monday then! Good to see it has a nice strong loop at the end, so that people don't lose it! Edited April 27, 2019 by TIGHTCHOKE

ditchman
thought i would give old farriers knife a bit of a rest before i harden it....need to do some reading up as the temps are not all the same....... so we took the horse knife (boer war) apart...bit pic heavy ...but i need them for re-assembling..............you can see the poor design of the springs where the riverts go thro there aint enuff meat ...so i will improve on that....i will use O1 tool steel and anneal it to just past blue and as there is only a small ammount of flex that will be fine........ so its all soaking in petrol now before i take the scratch marks out and polish everything...then i will order up the steel plate.......
