henry d
If it`s stubbles you`d be better off with 3`s or 4`s, you don`t need anything like that size, they aren`t foxes !!

So you`ve been shooting geese for 8 years and I`ve been shooting them for almost 20, I just thought I`d add a little knowledge to assist you and save any geese getting injured rather than killed. 0`s will either be 4.25mm which is between BB and AAA or 3.9mm which is between BB and US 2`s and that means at best for a 36gm load 99 pellets with approx.8.5 ftlbs(40yds) as opposed to 175 pellets with 3.4 ftlbs(40yds) and as 4 pellets of 1.5 ftlbs is enough to kill a goose, I`ll go for pattern rather than blowing a hole through them. paulos
i dont do a great deal of fowling, but doesnt it still need to be non-toxic, even over stubbles?
henry d
i dont do a great deal of fowling, but doesnt it still need to be non-toxic, even over stubbles? Not up here in Scotland, unless the shot fallout will land in water or fall on land that is periodically flooded.
njc110381
So there is a Scottish law that makes sense! After trying to learn all your Deer seasons (everyone else can agree, why not Scotland?!). I'm glad there's something you chaps have better rules for

After trying to learn all your Deer seasons (everyone else can agree, why not Scotland?!). I'm glad there's something you chaps have better rules for It doesn`t specify what you are shooting at be it fowl or pheasant, if it falls in a water course then it isn`t allowed.
