dansage
hi all, Is it essential for an over powder card when reloading shells with fibre wads? Thanks Dan
biketestace
In my humble opinion, YES
dansage
The 15mm wads I have look like they have a card on them anyway?

Now I just need to work the loads out as although i know others have used the Lee Load All with fibre wads, all the loading data is for plastic wads only 😑

enfieldspares
I have some. Twelve bore. Not many though. I'll make a count. Yours for a nominal sum of 1.5p each plus the unfortunately probably not nominal postage. Please PM me if interested.
Smokersmith
An overpowder card should be strong enough to withstand the pressure and provide some 'seal' or obturation to ensure the energy goes into the shot, and not out of the barrel. Most are 3mm thick.

enfieldspares
Size I'm afraid. The Royal Mail has long stopped pricing on weight alone and if a package is thicker than a minimal amount has to go at a silly price of £1.50 odd or so. dipper
When I was corresponding with Homeloader David Garrard.I wanted to load compression cases with felt wads..David said yes you can But it’s best to put Thin paper wad in first to stop grease e c t that might contaminated the powder.I have actually loaded strait cases without a over powder wad..They shot fine.
