aister
Ok just checking. I keep all my 3" hulls, someone usually takes them for reloading 👍
figgy
Hmm let's think about it, why would a manufacturer put something like that on the box? To sell more, surely not they're all so truthful upstanding gentlemen owners 😇 Wonder if they take their own advice and cease immediately. Spr1985
It also covers their behind should a legal case arise against them I suppose
Windswept
It would be interesting to hear their reason. If a similar warning doesn't appear on their lead loads then I assume they're worried the steel loads stress the case too much to reload it? Anyone fancy emailing them? Gas seal
Hi it could be due to the (Gordon recoil base) .Remington 10gauge cases are high and low base l think they are colour coded. Maybe if reloaded the plastic case could part from the brass base and travel with the wad and pellets as one projectile . I have seen this before in semi autos the plastic case will be stay in the chamber or travel with the pellets .in the USA they cut almost through the cartridge just above the powder and the case and shot travel as a slug within the case. DIY home defence. As said for legal reasons.
figgy
Anyone reloading used cases do so at their own risk. The original company loading them don't need to state on the box don't load steel. If the case splits or rips apart, tough you may decide not to use them again. Still seems a stupid statement to out on the box.
Dave at kelton
Home load 10 bore steel and reload the shells so don’t know what this refers to but sounds like back covering.
