boo Posted December 2, 2020 Report Share Posted December 2, 2020 So clearing out , old foot stool , hmm legs look good , so stripped down & scraped 80"s varnish off , hey presto a base ! So next couple of ply disks and central support, plus brackets for top disk So holes drilled , assembled , couple coats of stain & varnish, done cost £2 in total, everything recycled except knob on top , now filled with sticks looks ok ! Hope that you don’t mind me pinching your idea, only the wife said just yesterday that I should get another stand for my increasing collection of home made sticks so that we have some in the dining room as well as the ones crammed in a pot in the porch. I’ve just started to upgrade some of my very early ones which were not the best looking and left a lot to be desired with regards to the joints, so I am learning and improving, but not yet to your standard.
