Daz1986
Any one here capped off there 2007 ranger EGR!! Did or does it put truck in limp mode or flag up on dash
London Best
My Land Rover has the same engine I believe, 2009 vehicle. When I had the EGR blanked off I also had the ECU re-programmed so that it didn’t flag up on the dash that the EGR was not working. It was not in limp mode but had gone into limp mode previously then started working again, which was why I did the job. If I bought another I would blank EGR off straight away. GingerCat
I thought the new test meant they did a physical check.

For £45 how much ratching about checking these things would you do? My missing DPF has still not been spotted, 3 MOT’s at 3 different garages! London Best
It is necessary to have the ECU re-programmed to prevent this. 21 hours ago, tonker said: Blanked mine off on my 57 plate, ok for a short while and then the engine management came on and had to take it off again. Saltings
some blanking plates have a app 9mm hole to allow heat through and restrict junk so heat sensors work no light if a solid plate try drill a hole you may get the best of both otherwise remap egr out more horses less fuel way more responsive and less fuel

London Best
Third and final time. Been there, you need to re-programme the ECU.
