Dave at kelton
Well I went out on the shore more in hope than expectation this morning but the season is all but over so every opportunity is take.. The weather was not conducive to wildfowling with a clear bright sky, calm and cold at -3. Added to that the tides are small and the geese are sitting well out. Despite that it was a hell of a flight with skeins and small groups staying below 50 yds. Four shots with the 8 bore and three geese. Amazing really given the conditions. storm in a teacup
I wasn't expecting to see much this morning but there were loads of geese around. As you say plenty of small groups below 50 yards. Due to the clear weather the views into cumbria were amazing.
