jeffgg
Seeing as the game fairs and such like are not what they used to be. I am going to have a day at Southwell it looks like a good day out and not to far away
TIGHTCHOKE
At £12:50 per ticket it should be a good day out. Looks like an old show still run on its own, not by one of the outfits that theme them all in to expensive markets.
Walker570
Went there a fair few moons ago and it was a good show. Hope you enjoy your day.

enfieldspares
Bloomin' great queues of traffic around mid-day so went to McArthur Glen and came back around 2.00pm and drove straight in. Still queues at the food outlets yet all in all not bad at all. I could hear shooting but was there a clay event nearby? Surely I wasn't hearing gunshots from the range at Southwell? London Best
Thanks TC. When Dad was about 76 I took him to see the Lanc at East Kirkby. I told them he was an ex-tail end Charlie and they let him look round the turret before they ran up the engines. When I said, “I bet that takes you back,” he just replied, “What makes you think I would want to go back?” Says it all, really. He died two years later. TIGHTCHOKE
LB I understand his reply. Thankfully young men with his sort of "mettle" did go back repeatedly until the job was done. We should never forget them.
