discobob
with a Moskvitch you may have to set the time right on numerous occasions throughout the day With an Aston Martin it depends on how accurate the Ford clock is... 😉

I know he had a lot of trouble with it initially, but later wore it a lot. It is a 'base model' with no self winding and plain steel, but does have the usual Rolex 'winding crown'. I had it fully serviced by an independent Rolex specialist a few years ago and it was reported to be in good original order, but the winding crown and associated threaded insert on the case would need replacing quite soon if it was in daily use. The strap/bracelet is a (genuine) second hand replacement - the original having been worn out or damaged years ago and my father later using leather straps. Sold my seamaster 8yrs ago wish i had kept it as price's have skyrocketed. Wanted another quality Swiss watch so got myself a Tudor black bay very nice. Paul. I’ve got the one James Bond wore. Juat had it serviced properly by Omega, came in not far off £500. No idea what it’s worth now. Lovely watch, my mother bought it for me. Tend to wear it for special occasions.
