Firearms Officer Visit

Hi,

My local FAO is visiting as part of the assessment for my new coterminous license. I have had one in Kent which I relinquished following a move to Northen Ireland.

The q is, should I have my gun safes drilled and secured in place before he arrives or, wait until he agrees with their positioning and then secure them? Don't want to install them and then find out he wants them elsewhere.

Proposed location is downstairs, main house, out of the way, bolted to floor and wall into concrete.

Any views?

it used to cost me dearly when my firearms officer used to visit...i used to have 2 cabinates of arms..........he would ask me what ive got and i would tell him ...then he would sit and have a mug of tea and eat all my chocolate hob knobs.......

those of you of a certain age in norfolk will know who im talking about...

Heading for 2 years on from my 1st license I have yet to see a firearms officer (PSNI). at least 3 variations on still nothing. x2 over the phone interviews and that was it, yet my father who has my guns on his certificate did have a visit for his PCP...

I was advised to bolt all in where I felt it was appropriate and they would check at some point (mid c19 this was).
