Parcelforce

Anyone else had any problems with parcelforce, i had an item stolen whilst in transit last year and despite all my efforts got nowhere and now they're claiming to have delivered something else and denying that they haven't. The last email states that they are concluding the matter and no more can be done.

Use royal mail special delivery almost every day and it always gets there, use parcel force about 6 times a year usually it gets there late after being "misplaced", we did have one occassion where 4 parcels were sent to the office by parcel force two arrived a week later, then two plastic mail bags arrived minus the contents 3 days after that, the claims process is frustrating.

The parcel force bloke who covers my area is the most laziest bloke i have ever seen, you can find him sleeping in various laybys and car parks throughout the day.

would never use this company.you have more chance of winning the lottery then getting a successful claim against them, the company i worked for managed it once in five years due to the fact i driver was caught dropping £1'500 coffee machine over a 6ft fence on cctv, by a customer, if its damaged or lost its never there fault

So the question is what can i do to be compensated that's two losses in a year? They don't have a regulator or ombudsman and not surprisingly they have ruled in their own favour.

Small claims court?

I've not had any problems with them although I'm in when they turn up so always collect my parcel from the driver. They do take a photo of the item being delivered so if they've not provided you with that I would have thought you would have a case (subject to the T&Cs).

As for ombudsman, over the years I've referred things to various ombudsmen I've never found them to be any help at all.

I didn't accept them dismissing our claim and carried on, they paid up.

Hope you're successful

I had a form through the letterbox today "we tried to deliver etc" please collect it at the post office. Hey I was in my living room all morning 1.5 metres from my front door. I went down to said PO to be told I must come after 5:30pm to collect it which was not written on the form. Total bunch of caber throwers.

The latest email from them, no mention of the stolen item last year or any response to verify that its their policy to take photo evidence of an item being delivered.

Response By E-mail (Jessica) (19/10/2022 10.28 AM)

Dear Martin

There is nothing further to be added, other than that if you wish to pursue this further, you will need to proceed via a legal route.

Sorry that I can't be of any further assistance at this time.

Kind regards
Jessica

ParcelFarce are a complete shambles, anything you send that needs a more than 50% chace of A/arriving or B/not being pilfered you have to pay for insurance, special delivery etc whereas in the old days just first class post would have sufficed. When you add the fact that the majority of post you receive would have arrived quicker had it walked and now the strikes, I would imagine that RM are losing thousands of customers every day. If you post 2 letters to the same place, on the same day and one is sent first class, recorded, signed for and the other is sent normal second class, one will arrive faster han the other, this ,surely, means that they artificially delay some mail ? Last 2 items I had stolen I rang to report, got exactly the same response each time - "if it happens again let us know" !!!!!
