Like I said in the beginning, I know it's not a popular view but I think we should give Russia a taste of his own medicine, Nato should hit Russian forces in Ukraine in retaliation.

If it is true and it was Russian missiles, then surely we and all NATO members are now at war?

Do you think NATO would risk all out war for what might be two stray missiles?
No one is going to want to escalate this.

Surely that is what NATO was formed for.....

If NATO members do nothing then what is it's point!

Do missiles go astray???

NATO is an alliance, IF ATTACKED all members will act to defend the attacked member, this may not be an act of aggression but a stupid mistake. As said NATO won't go all out for this.

To be fair, no.

NATO was formed to defend against attack and invasion .......... not malfunctioning dodgy equipment.

OK, is it a known fact that it was malfunctioning equipment, and not an attack?

What happens if it was an attack?

Do we just take Russia's word that it was malfunctioning equipment?

Should we not just get a preemptive nuclear strike in now, just in case?

Amazing timing giving the Russian missiles fired in Ukraine today, I am no fan of Russia in any shape or form but this smacks of Ukraine wanting to get NATO pulled in.

Ohh, never thought of that,

What if it was a false flag event on Ukraine's part?

Are we then at war with them?

Do we join Russia?

Should we nuke them?

Should we maybe change the thread title?

What a stupid reply.

If you say so.

It's more of a stupid thread title.

Poland was either attacked or they weren't.

If they were, then surely we are now at war as a NATO member, if they weren't then the thread title is wrong.

Does it depend who attacked Poland, as to whether we are at war with them?

Surely if it was Ukraine as your comment suggests, then they have deliberately attacked a NATO member.

Chill and look at the news. It looks like two russian missiles overshot / shot down. When Russia is being a bottom most of the time why do you jump to an attack by Ukraine?

Because their infrastructure is being destroyed with winter coming and they are desperate to pull NATO in.

Missiles deliberately fired into a sovereign nation, killing people is not an attack, OK :hmm:

Just to put a bit of perspective on this, both sides dropped bombs on Switzerland, in error, during WW2. The Swiss declared war on neither side.

Given the state of Russia's munitions the missiles are likely to be an unfortunate cock-up

/\ This.  Possibly a Russian missile hit but not destroyed by anti missile technology.  Ukraine now claims to be successfully 'preventing' about 75% of incoming missiles, but they still have to fall somewhere.  The answer is for Russia to stop firing them.  You cannot blame Ukraine for trying to defend itself from incoming missiles.
