PeterHenry
Does anyone know if there is a tool that makes cleaning the internal choke threads less of a hassle? *please ignore - a chamber brush handle and jag work perfectly. Westley
I can't recall ever needing to clean the threads of any of my multichoke guns. I remove the chokes, clean them and re apply clean oil. They then screw back in by hand and I just nip them up with a choke key.

When I bought my new browning o/u few months back I noticed some of the choke threads in the box looked as if there was slight rust on them even thou they had never been used so I steeped them in small amount of oil in glass then wiped them down with dry cloth seemed to do the trick
Westley
Stick the chokes in an Ultra Sonic cleaning thingy......works a treat on chokes and semi auto piston.

Fellside
I just use the frayed edges of an oiled patch - until it comes back out clean.

Thanks - that's more or less what I worked out with the chamber brush handle and jag 👍
