My daughter (8) has an old phone of ours she plays with playing the games etc but she’d like to be able to take it to her mums and message me. Her mum doesn’t want a SIM card in it and I agree as she’s too young but I’ve seen a few apps that she doesn’t require a sim. I just want something recommended (safe) that we can message each other on. it’s not easy being split as I miss the kids lots . Any ideas ? Just need their own Apple ID and if set up as a child’s account then there are many restrictions that you can put in place, including screen time. My boys message me this way whilst I’m away. Kinzoo. if anyone has children using Amazon fire , I pads etc it’s really good . no sim required. they can only chat to who you add to the group . ph5172 Posted April 12, 2023 Report Share Posted April 12, 2023 (edited) In the past I have used the £1 burner SIM cards that you see at the tills in bandm and the like to good effect.
