No black pudding but I would if I had any 😋😋😋😋😋

Not placed, gordon blue, or messed about with, just lathered in beans 😉😉😉👍👍👍😋😋😋

That sound like good bacon, I was once told many producers inject it with water brine which puts the weight up, how true that is I do not know. Nothing worse than bacon that spits water and shrinks to a third of the size. Was it back bacon? Unsmoked my favourite.

Too bloody right! Push the boat out I say. I like to make a treble bacon sandwich with 3 pieces of toast and 6 rashers, occassionaly I treat myself and use white bread in place of brown, the white bungs me up something rotten but worth the strain every couple of months. JohnfromUK
When doing a recent 'online shop', there was a 50% off offer on a Premium traditionally drycured no added water style bacon - the un-smoked streaky being the subject of the offer. I ordered some to try. Today, I cooked some and this was the result (with a few mushrooms and Branston beans); The bacon cooked nicely in the pan with no extra fat added, but despite being streaky, didn't give out enough fat to cook the mushrooms. There was absolutely no water or 'white stuff' at all. None. There was also very little shrinkage. Very promising. On eating, I should say that I normally prefer smoked, but that wasn't on offer and so is expensive. This was nice bacon, but quite mild and had I paid full price I would have been slightly disappointed. As it was, I will enjoy finishing the pack, and look out for an offer on the smoked versions. I don't see myself buying this version at full price.
