DUNKS
Someone please tell me why my insurance has bounced up from £600 last year to £980 this year with no apology or explanation! Thats just taking the "P".
RCB56
I don't know why but mine for a L200 jumped from £480 to £845. Managed to get it for £573 with a different company. I'll soon need to use my bus pass to travel around, but I'm not sure taking a gun onto a bus will be accepted.
ph5172
Funnily enough mine have just come though. I’m looking at around £125 increase on each motor. even shopping around isn’t providing and ‘deals’

Some of the quotes we way out of order. I suppose some just pay it. Edited October 9, 2023 by mellors Extra info

Of course you can take a gun onto a bus, as long as its sleeved.

JohnfromUK
23 hours ago, DUNKS said: Someone please tell me why my insurance has bounced up from ....... Similar for me (a big rise). It is alleged that part of the reason is the cost of repairing (or very possibly writing off) electric vehicles due to the inability to get them repaired (few qualified repairers and no repairs allowed if there is any possibility of battery damage. Since I also had a 'warning briefing sheet' over the high theft risk (specifically on my old type Defender), I think that the current attitude of the police to vehicle theft (not our problem, here's an incident number, now go and claim from your insurance and don't bother us further) may also play a part. My insurance is warning that additional measures (I use a steering wheel lock and it is garaged) are strongly advised for Defenders due to them being a high risk target. DUNKS
Yep I can see that. I have just recently been on several comparison sites and nearly all the lowest quotes are similar and around £1400 so I suppose I should be glad my renewal price is only £900 one company even refused to insure me due to my age.
