Scully
What’s going on here? It’s a Model 37 Ithaca, which featured on the posters ( this is just a promotional still and not the poster ) for Get Carter, but never featured in the film. Why would anyone modify the stock in this fashion? I can’t figure out any function for which it would be suitable. 🤷♂️ Edited January 26 by Scully

Wouldn’t want to try it for real! 14 minutes ago, old'un said: For someone with very short arms? Windswept
Looks like a copy of a Mare's leg, which I've never understood either. A quick search for that shows it was invented for TV.
Miserableolgit
Doesn't look right at all. Perhaps the stock was shortened to the pistol grip but an ignorant photographer superimposed an upside down butt on
stockybasher
Hows about the stock is mounted into the elbow and the gun fired and reloaded with the gun at 90 degrees ??

Ah, now then. You could have something there. 🤔 For a while I was starting to go down the @Miserableolgittrain of thought. It does look quite superimposed. JKD
Great cufflinks though 😆 and love the steely stare 🤨🤓
Gordon R
i has been photo shopped. If you look at the dimensions of the butt, the original stock would never have been so deep at that point.
