It's certainly motivation to get my visa sorted, it's a real shame the paperwork wasn't here in time! I would have been there too if I hadn't got myself in trouble all those years ago, meaning I have to ask for entry before flying. By this time next year I should have been cleared to visit, and I can't wait!

I once spent a week in Jasper. White water rafting, canoing, cycling from the nearby glacier, walking and horse riding (me and a horse - never again). One of the best weeks of my life that could never be repeated. A truly amazing place :good:

Lovely pics, one of my wishes is to get my family over there one day.

Hi stunning pictures,

i did a massive military exercise with the PPCLI way back in the 80,s, they were using a 6 wheeled infantry vehicle, think it was called a huggy ? with a 50 cal on top, boy was that fun. we did an veh exchange visit ( you can fire mine , if i can fire yours thing ) boy that was fun. your guys loved firing the chieftain main battle tank that's for sure.

the boys also introduced us to rattle snake, and it just tastes like chicken.

we worked together for about 2 weeks at BATUS, British Army training unit sufficed, and had a great time with all the lads, i went to whistlers lodge on my R+R for two weeks skying, and i found the scenery outstanding, it did remind me of my home lad (Scotland ) at the time,

i have a favour to ask you, there is a mountain called COLEMANS MOUNTAIN that i think has a long waterfall near it, the next time your passing ( like you do every day :good: ) could you take a picture of it, its just to show the kids what it looks like in real life.

i spent 8 months in BATUS as a range safety officer, and boy do i miss it. :good:

many thanks and take care

I have been to Canada twice, Ottawa both times and I absolutely love the place! I've been mulling over the idea of packing up and coming over for a while.. just got to find out if I can get my clearances to work for the DND so I can stay in the same business!

Those pics have brought me one step closer...
