Hello, Your right Simon, Cannot remember who wrote it but i read it is the most played song at funerals , Still debating what mine is going to be 🤔😄 I feel some Eggs/Chips/ and Mushroom are on the menu today👍👍

My mate Roy, blown up in an armoured vehicle in NI and read the last rights,Sapper,9 Para, and then the French foreign legion for 5 years, police dog handler warrant/arrest officer for the courts and to finish it off trainee vicar, 58 and liver cancer took him 3 weeks after diagnosis, this song was played at the crem as the curtains were drawn, he knew we would all laugh, he certainly lived a full life.

Never forgotten.

i often wonder about the disconnect of our generation and the young people of today

if they saw this video ...what woud they think ....would they think the same as us.....would they understand the humour in pathos.......

perhaps someone of a younger age enlighten us......................or are we really old fossils now

As someone in their early 40s I get it, but then I was raised on python and the like. But then I guess I'm not that young any more. Not necessarily an age or generational thing maybe, more how you were bought up and your outlook on life.
