samboy
Hi gang. I'm looking to buy one of the above. It will only be used for the car and light duties so any recommendations please. Thanks all.
old'un
depending on the job cordless washers do not have the pressure of mains washers, but if I was going for one I would be looking at the Screwfix titan range, I have a number of the Titan products and cannot fault them….https://www.screwfix.com/p/titan-tti855prw-22bar-18v-1-x-5-0ah-li-ion-cordless-hand-held-pressure-washer/123pv I have this pressure washer, had it about 4 years, its powerful and as lasted longer than any of the Karcher I have had….https://www.screwfix.com/p/titan-ttb1800prw-140bar-electric-high-pressure-washer-1-8kw-230v/564kh
udderlyoffroad
As ever, the answer is; whatever cordless tool battery system you already own, buy that. I do struggle with the use case for these things though. If you're only using it at home, and therefore are dragging the hose out, just get the extension lead and plug in a far more powerful/better value mains unit. The required power of a pump will be directly proportional to the cube of speed, so these things are likely to quickly burn through batteries. As for mobile use, I don't personally have a need to wash things/gear off when out and about, but apparently these things are popular with bike-ists. At least, according to the ads, never seen one in the wild, but maybe I'm not hanging round the right places. Your application may vary of course. amateur
My wife uses one to clean the algae and grime off her parents' gravestone. Very effective and easier than using a scrubbing brush.
vmaxphil
I bought a cheap one from aldi to try, ok for a muddy mountain bike but other than that not really powerful enough so I took it back
Gordon R
At my youngest lad's suggestion, i bought a Stanley Fatmax cordless washer to use on the trials bikes. The idea being we could clean the bikes before putting them back in the box trailer. They have nothing like the pressure of a mains washer and are only useful for rinsing off surface dirt. They will not shift thick mud.
Dougy
Sealey Rechargeable 12V Portable Pressure Washer, use this on the dogs on mudy work days and on my boots when out shooting, been good enough for my needs. Dont think its suitable for jet washing a car though, bought a Nilfisk P180 for that.
