Found at the bottom of an amateur gunsmiths tool box. I thought it might be for testing trigger pulls but it’s graduated from 0 - 20 lbs. 
Note the curved top end with the screwdriver blade.

No, it's solid - the pointed end pulls the spring as in a spring balance

Well done every one!

Now for the next one - a strange bipod plus a rest (I see no way they mate together) Last owner added a jubilee clip as he used it with his spotting scope. 
Looks like a bipod from a machine gun but the angle of dangle is shallow. The legs measure 13” long.

I think there's a bit missing, a bar that fits into the clamped holes in both parts and joins the two.

I'd also say the Jubilee clip/clamp is original, given the use of the previous item I'm going to say it's for a Lewis gun.
