old'un
Heading for Llantwit Major this coming Sunday for a week, already pencilled in a day at Barry? and the Aviation museum plus a couple of beaches, weather permitting, welcome any suggestions for days out, might try a spot of sea fishing if the weather and the wife allows it. Thanks...

BobbyH
I used to visit S.Wales alot as i have family there, i went to St Faagen's museum of welsh living i think it was? Thats a good day out... I went down and visited a coal mine, not Big Pit, but it was near Tonyrefail and Talbot Green i think?
marsh man
I have only ever been to Wales once so I am not in the position to tell you where there are some decent places to visit , we did stay in some nice places and llandudno was very nice , one place of interest was the slate mine near Snowdonia , we went down to the pit head and was well worth seeing , that was about it , the following year we had a week in Scotland and I preferred Scotland to Wales , although I am sure there are a lot of nice places in Wales we didn't go to , a week is not very long when you are touring about ,so enjoy it wherever you you go . wymberley
Three things stick out. The cliffs at LM falling on me one night. It's a long walk from Cardiff after a night out. A trip on the Aust Ferry before it closed. Long time ago now, 64 to 66.
