digger
Amazed at the decision that led to the winning goal, if that was a foul I am a scotland fan. Pee poor refereeing from one of the italians neighbours.
bunnybasher07
moan the scots !!!! i am scotland through and through and cant complain about the score, but the goal at the end shouldnt of been allowed!!! the refs a ***** and i think the heading of this topic is a bit insulting because i am scottish bred and to round it of the REFS A ***** and i am sure you will agree about the ref aswell GM
vole
I used to support Scotland,as I did England,Wales and both NI and Eire until I grew up and smelt the coffee and the resentment coming our way too. However I found myself wishing the Scots well as I think they deserved a result today because they have a good team who stuck it right up the big boys.Bad decisions robbed them.England scraping through will do nothing for my stress levels but the rich kids representing us better not embarress us further. digger
Supporting scotland because we are the united kingdom ? Are you avin a tin bath ? Have you been into a bar in scotland when England are still in a competition you have been knocked out of ( every other tournament ) and seen who your countrymen support ? Stick with the Murray sisters if you want winners - leave the finals to teams who know how to get there
henry d
and you should be supporting scotland because we are the "united kingdom" As an Englishman living in Scotland for the last 17 years, I can confirm that that is the total inverse of what any Scotland football supporter has ever given me...........and I do mean 100% of every Scotland football supporter. Suffolk shooter
Gotta say, even though I am English through and through, I wanted Scotland to win and Go through, because then it would highlight how poor a manager and team us the English have and something serious would be done about it. Not only that but with current and Ex Everton players playing, I wanted them through. Bad Freekick by Faddy leading up to the scots goal, there's a reason he doesn't take them when he plays for the toffees. Have to agree with HD though, never met a single scot who has ever wanted any English team, national or international to win anything and it didn't matter who they played. The welsh are just as bad for that as well. Makes me laugh about the "we're all UK" comment. Scots wanted devolution, welsh want the same and they even took it further to get all schools in wales to teach welsh as the first language, and yet still both want to take english taxpayers money to fund their countries SS
digger
Well put ss, after decades of being brilliant at losing you would think they would be used to it. Devolution to the point of still relying on English tax payers money - " Freedom " my bum
bunnybasher07
yeh well we had a boy at the back of the pub singin english songs which was rather strange but yeh you are right that scottish and english are very competitive but still its the euro qualifiers and shoud support each other but ohh well, oka a take back the comment about the uk but still the ref made a bad decision and we would a got a draw if he didnt but thats life eh GM

Scots wanted devolution, welsh want the same and they even took it further to get all schools in wales to teach welsh as the first language, and yet still both want to take english taxpayers money to fund their countries SS But England are stealing our power and destroying our countryside, look at all the wind turbines that have been put up here and Wales. you say we are taking your tax money but look at what you are taking from us. And its right 90% of Scotland dont want England to win they support two team's Scotland and anyone playing against England. But I am a unionist I dont want to split with England. At the moment the SNP are breaking a lot promises overspending I think. dustyfox

ss12
well i was born in scotland and live in scotland and i would rather see any of the home nation teams go through than the likes of russia, italy etc. I honestly belive that scotland were robbed of any chance of qualifying by an unbeliveible decision by the ref though . I don't think they deserve it based on there performance but good luck to england ss12

Totally disagree with you here. I spent years selling in Wales, Scotland and Ireland. By and large all support their own country (of course), but get a gang of Welsh or Irish together with the English and the banter is great. However, I have yet to see the same with the Scots - they seem to believe all of this Braveheart ****. When you point out that William Wallace was sold out by his Scots countrymen then things tend to get very excited. When will they realise that in the standard of the times the English were no worse than others - you only have to read any European history to realise that. Methinks that if you are looking for a scapegoat for your own failings then your neighbours are an easy target. Waiting for the usual reaction.....
